Below you will find a list of resources for music, instruments, and music studies. Some of the resources are free, some require memberships, and some have a free section, and a membership section. Please note that these are websites not part of Flamingo Music, and as such content cannot be guaranteed.

www.ichigos.com - excellent selection of anime and video game sheet music

www.midishrine.com - video game sheet music

www.musicnotes.com - purchase single songs for various instruments - most include a free digital copy that you can playback on your computer. Requires a free software download.

www.makingmusicfun.net - sheet music up to level 5, worksheets (PDF), music games and activities

www.music-scores.com - some free, some membership files, all instruments and ability levels

 

GENERAL RESOURCES:

www.musictheory.net - excellent interactive site with activity and exercises for piano, guitar, and trumpet. Includes note, key, and interval trainers as well as some basic rudiments lessons.

http://www.music.vt.edu/musicdictionary/ - the most comprehensive music dictionary of terms I have found. Italian, German, French, and English terminology. Audio pronunciation and examples/excerpts for each definition.

http://www.susanparadis.com/ - excellent resource pages of activities, games and songs for kids. A must have teacher resource.

http://www.soundswell.co.uk/pages/swsightr.htm - several free downloads (PDF) of sight reading exercises from very basic to intermediate.

http://www.practicesightreading.com/ - another sight reading sight, this one more interactive and focusing on specific meters.

www.blanksheetmusic.net - create and print blank sheet music or tabs for a variety of instruments. Allows you to customize key signature, time signature, staff size, etc.

http://www.thecipher.com/guitar_free_pdfs.html - free PDF files of blank guitar fretboards. Offers a variety of sizes and varying numbers of frets for both 6 and 12 string.
