Rate Schedule, Payment Information, and Miscellaneous Information

Rate 1: $12 per half hour lesson

Rate 2: $24 per hour lesson

Forms of Payment: Cash or Cheques

Payment Schedule:

I accept payment either once a month, or every two weeks. If you would like to arrange something different to accomodate your circumstances, I am willing to work out other options. I do provide receipts upon request, and for groups/foundations I can also submit invoices upon request.

Missed Lessons:

In the event of a missed lesson due to illness or other reasons, I require a phone call or voicemail informing me you will be absent. I will either try to arrange a makeup lesson or I will not charge you for the missed lesson if a makeup time cannot be worked out. If your child is ill, please do not bring them to their lesson as I get sick and pass it on to the other students.

Royal Conservatory Exams:

There are fees associated with RCM Examinations. As these fees can change I can only provide details at the time of the exam booking.

Books and Supplies:

Guitar Students require a three ring binder to keep music, tabs, chord charts, and homework in. Also be sure to bring tuners, picks, etc., to every lesson. Piano Students must bring a notebook or binder with paper, and all your books to each lesson. Clarinet/Flute Students must bring their instrument, music, cleaning rod and rags, extra reeds and cork grease (clarinet only) and a notebook or binder.

Recitals:

The recitals are held twice per year and students may choose one or two of their favourite pieces to perform. Parents will be given at least one months notice about date, time and place. Recitals are free to attend, and students can invite relatives and friends. Students perform in an order determined by skill level, and duet playing is encouraged. Recitals are followed by an “after party” to allow parents and kids to relax and socialize while enjoying a snack buffet. DVDs of the recital can be obtained afterward.
