Flamingo Music strives to be flexible and work with students and their families, however there are a few policies that are observed, and these are outlined below.
1. Lesson fees may be paid by cheque or cash
2. If you are unable to attend a lesson due to illness or conflict, etc., please be sure to call or E-Mail as soon as possible. You will not be billed in this instance.
3. If you are ill, please call, if you get sick, and pass it on, then everybody gets sick and some students have very young siblings who are at higher risk.
4. It is preferred that lesson fees be paid once per month, at the same time every month on a date of your choosing. Receipts issued on request.
5. If you wish to make payments on a different frequency (every two weeks, post dated cheques for the year) then please advise when registering, your needs can be accomodated.
6. Lessons are available year round, however summer attendance is optional.
7. If you must miss a lesson, makeup lessons can be arranged.
8. Concerts are held twice per year, performance is encouraged, however students who are not ready are welcome to come and watch.
9. If you are receiving a subsidy to cover lesson fees, please have the information ready when you register and advise at the time of calling. Students who arrange for subsidy are welcome, and any progress reports submitted will be shared with student and parent upon request.
10. If at any time you wish to change instruments, please advise the week before. If you need to change lesson times permanently, the more notice you can give is appreciated. If you no longer wish to attend, please advise via phone or in person.
11. Respect for each other, as well as for diversity and learning is key. We are all different, but we have all come together to enjoy music and this is the glue that binds us. Please be kind to your fellow students at concerts, or even just passing by each other on the way in and out of lessons.
